Bulleit Rye is a Straight Rye Whiskey, offering a 95% Rye Mash Whiskey and 5% Malted Barley, which makes it among the highest ryes available in the market. It is aged and matured between 4 and 7 years.

Bright and buttery, this rye has a warm, malty scent and mellow flavors of cookie dough and juicy lemon, interspersed with just the right amount of rye bite. - K.N.

The floral and violet candy notes on the nose suggest a younger rye, followed by fresh citrus, and a pronounced herbal quality that borders on vinyl, with primary grain aromas peering through like warm porridge. On the palate, it emerges a bit hot up front, on the thin side, as sweet vanilla, honey, and tropical fruit meet peppery spices, tinged with caraway and licorice. A solid, if somewhat simple sipper.

''No age statement, but it includes 4 to 7 year old whiskeys. The mashbill is 95% rye - much higher than most standard rye whiskeys out there. It's brisk, vibrant, and loaded with spice (crisp mint, warming cinnamon, cocoa, hint of anise). Fruit - ripe nectarine, apricot, golden raisin - drizzled with maple syrup. Dry oak rounds out the finish. Bold enough for cocktails. Mature enough to drink neat (or on the rocks).''
