A high-quality blend, containing 60% grain whisky and 40% malt whisky, which is an exceptionally high malt content from a whisky at its price point. Most of the malt whisky in the blend comes from Springbank Disitllery - Springbank itself, Longrow (their heavily peated whisky) and Hazelburn (their lightest style malt) - although there is whisky from other distilleries in there too. The grain comes from the Girvan grain distillery. It is blended by our Production Director Frank McHardy using the benefits of his near-50 years spent making whisky.
