Production of El Buho mezcals are overseen by the family matriarch Elsa Jaurez Mendez and her husband, Master Mezcalero Octavio Jim?nez Monterroza. He has a preference for using wild and rare agaves like Tobala, Tepextate, Cuishe and Jabali.
