Nose: A little more nose tickle (than the 86), but not much fruit. There are notes of caramel and Bananas Foster.

Soft and supple on the palate, with a medium body. More bananas and caramel accompany a mild tongue burn. On the mouth, there is more sweetness and less bitterness.

Finish: This is a medium-length finish. With anise and other bitter spices, the bitterness is now apparent. It's not too tannic or drying in the mouth. Without evolving, it fades.

Very Old Barton Description

Very Old Barton has been meticulously distilled and aged for decades. This traditional bourbon whiskey has a bold, rich flavor that goes down smoothly, as it has for decades. Notes on the taste: A rich tawny amber color. The scent is light and woody. The palate is medium bodied with a drying woody character after a firm assault. Finish is dry and wet.
