A gentle hint of wood spice complements the natural power and scope of the Morey's big, punchy and deep flavors as well as the green, pure and quite elegant fruit aromas. This is robust but not rustic with a textured quality to the very persistent backend that just goes on and on. It is particularly notable that such a big wine has such terrific balance. In a word, OUTSTANDING.
Ripe yet cool aromas include those of both red and dark currant, plum and plenty of newly turned earth where the latter component is easily found on the racy lighter weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the refined, delicious and slightly more complex finale.
