Bitouzet-Prieur Description

Bitouzet-Prieur Meursault Corbins is a captivating white wine that fuses intensity and subtlety in a symphony of flavors that titillate the senses. Explore its enthralling minerality, delicate buttercream accents, and invigorating acidity, perfectly paired with an array of delectable dishes.

The Bitouzet-Prieur Meursault Corbins is an enigmatic elixir born from the Southeast-facing Les Corbins vineyard, nestled between the idyllic villages of Meursault and Volnay. This Chardonnay, with vines dating back to 1974, boasts a dynamic fusion of deep, rocky clay-limestone terroir and the artful craftsmanship of the Bitouzet family. Its 16-month aging process in 20% new barrels imbues this wine with a vivid golden hue, exuding a bouquet of vibrant citrus and white flowers. On the palate, its intense minerality intertwines with a subtle buttercream undertone, creating a harmonious dance of flavors that crescendo with a lively, acid-driven tension unique to the Bitouzet house style.

The Bitouzet-Prieur Meursault Corbins' enchanting profile lends itself to a diverse range of culinary delights. Pair this beguiling white wine with tender seared scallops or sumptuous lobster risotto, allowing the rich creaminess to complement the wine's buttery undertones. Alternatively, indulge in a plate of earthy wild mushroom risotto or creamy goat cheese crostini to accentuate the wine's inherent minerality. For a lighter option, opt for a crisp arugula salad adorned with pear slices and toasted walnuts, or perhaps a delicate smoked salmon carpaccio, both of which will beautifully highlight the wine's tantalizing acidity.

Antonio Galloni: 90 Points

This has a clean and perfumed bouquet with white peaach, Nashi pear and light Mirabelle scents. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, quite taut with orage rind and pear.
