This is a powerful wine, rich in tannins as well as blackberry fruits. With a good proportion of Malbec in the blend, the wine is dark in color and in tannin intensity.
Their basic Bergerac red is a blend of merlot and malbec off calcareous soils in Agen, fermented and aged in a mix of stainless-steel tanks and oak barrels. It is spicy and pleasantly herbal, with velvety tannins that lend a gentle firmness to the red raspberry and purple plum flavors. It leaves a fresh feel, making this a versatile red.
