kor-VEE-nah | Corvina hails from the Veneto region near the city of Verona, and is characterized by its deep cherry color and aromas of cherry, bitter almond, and spice. Corvina is a key component of the blends used in Valpolicella and Bardolino wines, where it is typically blended with Rondinella, Molinara, and Negrara. The resulting wines are fresh and forward, and best enjoyed when young. However, the true star of Corvina is found in the Recioto and Amarone versions, where it reaches its finest expressions.
