Domaine de la Pepiere - Muscadet Sur et-Maine Lie La Pepie is a classic Muscadet crafted from 100% Melon de Bourgogne grapes grown on granite soil. This exquisite wine showcases the essence of the "La Pépie" Sur Lie bottling, which originates from the heart of the 10-hectare Pépière estate. Situated in the esteemed Clisson cru, near the winery in the charming commune of Pépière, this wine also incorporates a notable portion of their cru Château Thébaud fruit and select organic grapes sourced from a neighboring farmer.
With a commitment to organic farming, the vineyard ensures the highest quality. The grapes are meticulously hand-harvested and gently pressed, allowing the juice to settle naturally for 12 hours. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged on its lees in spacious, underground, glass-lined cement tanks for up to a year. Minimal sulfuring is employed throughout the process.
The resulting "La Pepie" Sur Lie offers a vibrant expression of its terroir. It exudes a floral and fresh character, enticing the senses with its aromatic bouquet.
