Domaine du Castel Description

The Petit Castel is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrles followed by 4 further months ageing in concrete tanks prior to bottling. The Petit Castel is deep in color with pungent aromas of red and black fruits with a wonderful concentration of warming spice. On the palate the wine is rich and full bodied with an excellent balance of tannins and soft acidity.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Domaine du Castel is an Estate West of Jerusalem at an altitude of 2400 feet. The vineyards are planted at a density of 6700 vines per hectare and produce very small yields. The grapes were handpicked and after fermentation the wine was aged 16 months in French oak.
