Indulge in the world's first Persian wine with Drood Winery's "Irdabama Red Samarghandi". Crafted in Gemla, Sweden, yet born from the rich soils of the South-Western Iranian Zagros Mountains, this wine is a symphony of ancient Persian vine varieties and modern winemaking techniques. With grapes imported directly from chosen vineyards in Iran, every sip is a testament to a history that spans over 7,000 years.
This Irdabama Red Samarghandi boasts a radiant red hue. Its aroma seduces with notes of cherries, raspberries, and red currants, underscored by an herbal undertone. As for taste, expect a fruit-forward profile bursting with cherries, raspberries, red currants, and an intriguing hint of blood grapefruit. The high elevation of 2050-2250 meters coupled with the loess soil over limestone bedrock lends complexity and depth.
Perfectly served at around 16°C, this wine pairs beautifully with vegetarian dishes or light meats. Think cold cuts or a curated selection of small bites. The fruity flavor profile also complements dishes infused with herbs, making it a versatile choice for various cuisines.
Expressive and bright red cherry and strawberry notes with hints of rose, cassis and a soft lingering finish.
