The 2022 Morellino di Scansano is fabulous. Aromatic, sensual and inviting, the 2022 is an ideal wine for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Silky tannins wrap around a core of dark red/purplish berry fruit, lavander, rose petal, spice and menthol. All the elements are very nicely balanced. What a charmer.

About 85% Sangiovese, full-bodied, and more fruit forward and less acid-driven red than wines from Chianti region of Tuscany, Leather, spice and red cherry flavors dominate.
