Drawing from Nordic roots, Hetta Glogg is a drink of rich spices to enjoy with friends. Hetta is served heated, filling the room with aromas that reveal its complex flavor. ENJOY HOT Pour HETTA into a saucepan and heat over medium flame until hot, but not boiling - 170°F is ideal. Once hot, remove from heat and serve in small mugs. Add a garnish of an orange slice, almonds or raisins. ENJOY COLD HETTA can be served over ice, as a cocktail or or as an ice cream topping
Nordic for mulled wine, Glogg originated in the early 1600s. Traditionally, spices were added to the poor-tasting wine of the time. As flavors improved, Glogg remained popular in Nordic countries, becoming A TRADITIONAL BEVERAGE associated with Christmas and other social gatherings. NORDIC GLÖGG is similar to other mulled wines such as German Gluhwein and Chilean Navegado. Glogg is often called Grog, a word that refers to a variety of alcoholic beverages that are similar to Nordic Glogg. Beyond the goodwill and hospitality associated with the beverage, Glogg is also rumored to have MEDICINAL QUALITIES. Many consider Glogg to be a heath-bringing drink. While we cannot claim any healing powers, it is difficult not to credit the beverage for clearing head colds and easing tension, not to mention the amount of laughter and other merriment it has inspired, undeniably good for one’s mental health.
