The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny les Gruenchers 1er Cru is the final vintage before the contract ends [it will go to Domaine Sigault] and contains 40% whole clusters. There is some reduction on the nose that makes this difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and gentle grip. Quite saline in the mouth, leading to an elegant, refined finish with slightly darker red fruit than the entry. Very promising.

The supple, round and utterly delicious middle weight flavors possess an attractive mouthfeel if only barely average depth and concentration.
