nose is more deeply pitched with its blend of both red and dark pinot fruit, plum, spice and warm earth scents. The vibrant and well-detailed medium weight flavors are also notably mineral-driven while exhibiting excellent length on the succulent yet entirely serious finish.

Decanter: 92 Points

A more brooding bouquet of wild berries, rich forest floor and wood smoke introduces a similarly supple, elegantly-structured palate, with a bit more depth and fat on its bones than the Clos du Roy - the soils richer in clay here lending greater mid-palate amplitude.
